ABOUT MY STUDIO

Happy Tails Music is focused on nurturing healthy, lasting relationships with music.  While I have a passion for classical music, I never limit my musical tastes to one genre.  My policy is if the student likes it, we learn it.

Studio Rules

In order to create the best environment for each student, myself, and the studio as a whole, I require each student or parent/guardian to sign a contract listing out my studio rules.  This contract details out the student expectations, parent/guardian expectations, and teacher expectations.  If you have any questions, I am happy to talk.

Students will...

  • be open to trying new things

  • ask questions of the teacher when they arise

  • be kind and compassionate to themselves as they learn

  • attend their lesson on time, or if unable to attend, provide 24-hour notice via phone, text, or email

  • be accompanied by a parent or guardian during lessons if they are a minor unless otherwise discussed

  • wait for their lesson time to start before attempting to video conference or enter the studio

The teacher will...

  • create a positive learning atmosphere for each student

  • focus on fostering lifelong relationships with music

  • cater lessons to the student's individual musical interests

  • do their best to communicate with students and parents/guardians in an effective manner

  • reserve the right to change any part of the contract; if this does happen, notification will be made to each student or parent/guardian

  • void your contract if there is continual late tuition, unpaid tuition, or excessive absences

Payment will...

  • be $30 for a 30-minute lesson, $45 for a 45-minute lesson, and $60 for a 60-minute lesson

  • be due by the first scheduled lesson of the month; if tuition is not paid on time, a $15 late fee will be added to the student's account

  • be provided if the student cancels their lesson because tuition pays for both the lesson and the time slot; it is unfair to the teacher and any potential or current student to reserve a time slot that is not paid for

  • be paid for the month based on the number of expected lessons in the month (e.g. if a student's lesson is on each Thursday for 30 minutes and there are four Thursdays in a month, they will be $120 by the first Thursday of the month)

  • be paid via cash, check, Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo

  • be refunded or applied to the next month if the teacher has to cancel; alternatively, the time can be made up in a make-up lesson on a different day
